Wednesday, June 2, is Downtown Halifax's Clean Sweep day.
abridean joined over 150 volunteers to fill the streets of Downtown Halifax over lunch hour to participate in the 16th Annual Clean Sweep! Today's event saw over 20 teams gather in grand parade then disperse through the downtown collecting more than 65 bags of garbage and recyclables. The event is set to prepare the city for a busy tourist season and is a kick-off for the DHBC Enviro team.
